General Motors Mexico review the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon 2010-2012

  • Written by Aitor

General Motors Mexico has launched a campaign to call for revision of the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, manufactured during 2010, 2011 and 2012, due to a possible absence of the secondary latch, which could have occurred during assembly vehicle.

The consequence of this lack may be that if the primary hood latch is not engaged, the hood could open unexpectedly. However it is a very unlikely situation, which has not yet taken place in Mexico.

The number of vehicles that will be called to review is 7,490 vehicles whose owners will be contacted by mail from the day 21 December. The letter will encourage them to go to your dealer Chevrolet or GMC preferred, where it is inspected for the presence of the secondary lock, and if it were not present, the hood of the vehicle will be replaced at no cost.

If you have any questions regarding this campaign, you can contact the General Motors Center telephone Customer Care 01 800 466 0800 Chevrolet and GMC 01 800 466 0812 and emails This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
