Geneva Motor Show: Nissan introduces the prototype Invitation

Nissan has unveiled the first details of a prototype that anticipates the next generation European segment B, a new Nissan that will be sold by the city Micra and Juke.

British manufacturing
Production will take place at Nissan's plant in Sunderland, UK. This model was built alongside the popular crossover Juke and will compete in the segment B.

In addition to vehicle assembly, the Sunderland plant will also handle production shaft, casting the cylinder head, making the camshaft and engine assembly, representing a total investment of millions of pounds 125 by Nissan in the UK.

The project will also receive aid 9,3 million pound Regional Growth Fund of the British government.

Trevor Mann, Nissan Senior Production UK Vice President, said: "This factory has 20 years experience in the production of compact cars of success, a history that dates back to the first Micra, released in 1992."
