UNI-CUB allows the driver to control the speed, move in any direction or turning and stopping, as a simple way to modify the body weight. Thanks to this, the UNI-CUB can be used to navigate in urban environments, where it is necessary to maneuver quickly and easily between people. In addition, the compact form of UNI-CUB allows the driver to support the legs on the floor and maintain a comfortable height (at eye level of other pedestrians).
During the month of June, Honda will begin by the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Japan testing of UNI-CUB. This project will explore the flexibility of indoor use and practical applications of the device in a wide range of environments, both in Japan and in other countries.
